New version 3.0.8.260 is out, which should be more stable in several ways. It might also help with some of the more subtle and rare issues we have not been able to fix previously. Please provide any feedback here or report issues on the Github as usual.

New version 3.0.9 (which should become available later today) has a whole load of playability improvements which we've been planning for some time. These include Quick Mode, Hard Mode, and rare drops from the Evolved mobs.

See here:

Personally I will be playing Galacticraft with both Quick Mode and Hard Mode enabled now.

Hard Mode will be expanded slowly from here as more ideas occur to us. See also: http://forum.micdoodle8.com/index.p...ard-mode-modpacks-discussion.4536/#post-34590

This means that a mob grinder in a space dimension can produce an interesting selection of loot (although very slowly, for the good stuff).

Will this be a config option to set (hard, easy)? And is there a normal mode?

Guess we will stick with hard as the double ore thing seems cheap :p

We just built the electric arc furnace, so good! But our latest trip to the moon was a disaster, landed at night. Partner and daughter died, fuel loader and shuttles blown up. So lucky I hadn't come down from space yet. Was a fun rescue mission that filled in our night. Why I love this mod haha :p

It's working for me, and I'm nowhere near the server (not even in the same continent).

We recommend updating to the latest 3.0.11.333. A lot of small-but-important things have been fixed or improved recently, for example movement in space stations should be smoother and more intuitive now.
