I've been trying to alert people on the old thread where I asked if we could have a cleaner changelog and now the changelog isn't even updating anymore. I'm hopeful this can be resolved soon.

Why don't you just goto GitHub and view/read the pull requests? Most of them have an explanation and reference a bug report attached when the request is approved. You've beat this dead horse for over a month now...
