Hello fellow Minecraftians. If you reading this, you are probably interested in translating this awsome mod into your (or known you) language. To provide help to you I let myself prepare list of what you need to know.
  1. Check if your languge isn't alredy translated.Below is list of all languages and their current status (known to me) in translating and adding into mod.
  2. Get orginal language packege.Great your languge isn't translated yet, so now your turn to shine. Under this link: https://github.com/micdoodle8/Galacticraft-Localization you can find orginal language files (US English). Simply click core folder and then en_US.properties file. Also you will need translate from moon folder en_US.properties file.
  3. Translate.Congratulations you got archivment "Fallow Instructions". Now when you have all needed files, open text editor. I recomend Notepad++ wchich can be found here: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/. Done? Splendit now edit content from previously mentioned files. Remeber to translate everything behind the =, if you edit something before the = the file won't work!
  4. Share your work. After you done with all that hard work it's time to tell tyrantelf what have you done. Compress your files to rar and upload them, I suggest using http://mediafire.com/, and send him link to your translation via pm or mail.

I have translated it in my language (Greek) but when I sent it to micdoodle8 he told me that I had to upload it as a UTF-8 or the letters would be messed up! I don't have any idea what that even means!

Help?

That is exactly what I did but when I checked the new version with my language it didn't work!

P.S. Pirate speek also doesn't work.

P.S.S. I just checked the jar file: Greek and Pirate speak are not in there. (Version I am using 0.1.32)

Nice post, stickied. I'll try to help you keep it up to date.

Also, if your using Notepad++ as suggested, go to Encoding > Encode in UTF-8 before starting to make it UTF-8.

If you've already made the file, go to Encoding > Convert to UTF-8 and it'll convert it to UTF-8.

Also, as of this build, German and Polish are added.

Yes but when i posted downloadable version was 1.32 without German and Polish.
I know, I'm just saying. If you watch the build there, it would allow you to keep your post more up to date, though remember most of those are dev builds, so put "Next release" next to them or something.

You can select encoding in the very bottom right of the "save-as" screen of notepad.
Scratch what I said, I have to be using notepad(no + at all)the are no options for encoding. There isn't such a button :( Guess the Greek translation will have to wait.:(

I'm using UTF-8, but it still doesn't work. And is it possible to make a pull request in the repository instead of compressing it and uploading it?
