    I figured it out. It has to be in the %appdata%/roaming/.mincraft, not the C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft folder. Stupid mistake.

    i have made sure to download the correct version of everything. i have the Galacticraft files: GalacticraftCore-1.12.2-4.0.1.181 Galacticraft-Planets-1.12.2-4.0.1.181 MicdoodleCore-1.12.2-4.0.1.181 As well as for forge: forge-1.12.2-14.23.1.2555 But no matter what forge i install and load it...
