The mothership is a really awesome concept. I'm definitely adding this mod to my personal space-themed modpack.

This seems to be a mod with a lot of potential.....
But whenever i try to use it with galaxy space it crashes can u pls help me?

I was considering this as well. The question is: how obsolete do I want to make rockets? I'll probably add some sort of teleporters anyway, though.

Я про это тоже уже думал. Вопрос, до какой степени ненужными я хочу сделать ракеты? Но, какие-то телепортеры я скорей всего сделаю.

Ракеты с ванильным GC ещё ладно, но когда ставишь Galaxy Space то появляется тонны ракет и планет. В результате ракеты становятся неудобными. Их слишком много и они медленные.
Можно сделать для корабля апгрейды которые бы повышали его уровень позволяя лететь дальше. С одно стороны это полностью выведет ракеты, но с другой будет очень круто.
Да тот же мод на тардис делает ракеты полностью бесполезными.

Yes, the same mod for the TARDIS makes missiles completely useless.

Hmm, that's another question: how soon should you be able to build motherships?

How about this: the shuttle schematic will be on one of my planets, and you need to fly over there with a rocket first. If you have other addons, you can set the tier requirements for my planets to whatever the new highest tier is, so that you have to obtain the highest-tier rocket before you can build motherships?

.10, I'll only increment the second number if I'm adding something bigger. The first one only if I consider the mod to be "finished", at least in some sense.

Как нащёт вот этого: планы для шатла лежат на одной из моих планет, и тебе сначало надо туда на ракете лететь. Если у тебя ещё другие аддоны, ты можешь в конфиге поставить уровень моих планет на самый высокий из аддонов, так что тебе надо будит дойти да самой высокой ракеты прежде чем ты можеш строить mothershipы?
Нормально так то. Главное то что настроить можно.
Но без двухстороннего телепорта между планетами и кораблём не обойтись. Иначе этот корабль будет бесполезным.

Даже не знаю... Может не переводить, а просто придумать другое название подходящие по смыслу?

1. Передвижная орбитальная станция
2. Космический корабль(ну, вот так)
3. Орбитальный носитель

Википедия предлагает еще и "Корабль-матка". Это для меня вообще как-то непристойно звучит.
Я думаю я на самом деле возьму просто "космический корабль"

So do you have any plans to add Artificial Gravity blocks for the motherships. Just curious, also is it possible to travel directly to stars in a mothership and orbit them

Well, my main question would be, will any API changes from 1.8 will be backported to 1.7? And if not, how soon should I start porting everything to 1.8 myself?

But, there really is something I'd really like to have in GC: some easier way to do zero G without having to subclass WorldProviderOrbit. I did it for my MothershipWorldProvider, but it does cause a few problems due to space station-related stuff. Maybe add an abstract WorldProviderZeroGravity which only does the zero G stuff, which is then extended by WorldProviderOrbit, and can be in turn extended by other things?

As minor things: would it be possible to allow the creation of new items which can go into the extended inventory slots? Just a few minutes ago I was asked about making a new oxygen mask, and I have considering making a new frequency module some time ago.

I honestly don't know if this is even possible with a sensible amount of work. Right now I'm using the same gravity code as the space station, and I'd be lying if I said that I understand it. I probably will try to do it at some point, though.

And yes, you can orbit stars. That was the whole reason why I added another thermal suit: orbiting a star will kill you, even if you wear the vanilla thermal suit :D

Yes, I'll most likely be backporting all changes to 1.7.10, but development will be focused on 1.8.9 and beyond. No timeline for the backport, I'll probably get a stable build of GC4 out for 1.8.9 first.

That should be do-able, but I'll have to look at the code and make sure (zero G is radfast's code).

That should be possible already for thermal armor with IItemThermal, but the other items you'd have to extend core classes such as ItemOxygenMask. I'll probably make this possible with the API at some point.
