do you want oxygen to be in the liquidregistry?

Oxygen should be added to the liquidregistry of forge, this would allow you to use buildcraft pipes to transfer oxygen to your oxygen sealer, it would even allow you to store it.
Keeping it like it is now, makes oxygen almost useless, you can`t even store it without mekanism.
Adding this would make interaction with oxygen way easier for modders, because forge has a fluid API.

It doesn't make sense to transfer oxygen as a liquid. Maybe if mic added a way to cool it to, oh, about 10 Kelvin, then it would work. Otherwise, from a modding standpoint the mekanism api is easy enough to use, and available, it just hasn't been used yet. Any modder worth their salt could easily add in a gas storage tank, its just that the galacticraft api is relatively new, so no one has yet.

Oxygen is a liquid... I hope you now see that your argument is illogical. Gases are also fluids, and transporting them through pipes(already available) and into tanks(also available) seems easy enough.

Liquids =/= fluids. In order to trnsport gasses, you need pressure. You do not need pressure to transport liquids. Also, fluids refers to gasses and liquids, it is not a state of matter. If it were the fluid dictionary, it would make sense, however, it is the liquid dictionary, so it is not the proper place. And while oxygen can be a liquid, as any element can be in any state of matter, the temperature where that occurs is exceedingly low, or the pressure would have to be exceedingly high.

A lot of gases are already in the liquid registry, like Steam from Buildcraft. This suggests that something is actually applying pressure to the pipe to move it. Still, you are right about fluids not being liquids...

In the end, this is not for us to debate. It is mic's mod, and he chose to use mekanism's api for gasses. Right now, it would be a complete overhaul of all the oxygen code in order to change oxygen from a gas in mekanism to a liquid in the liquid registry. He would have to change all the machines, and the entire calculation of the oxygen bubble and the oxygen sealer. It would be difficult, to say the least.

That's true, I do still like the mod the way it is...

He could, but how do you texture liquid oxygen... it is a clear liquid, so it would look like you are transporting nothing...

How do you know there's oxygen in the canisters you use to breathe? You know because it says it's there. It might look weird trying to pump it through pipes. Then again Propane is a colorless gas too, but they add a smell to it so that people can tell there's a leak (smells like rotten eggs). A color could be added to oxygen in the game just so you can see it in pipes and tanks. It doesn't really matter what color. You can pretend that your collectors add the color and your dispersers remove it.

Using mekanic mod you can use the pressurized pipelines and it shows when gasses are going through it, as well as how much is going through.

-Edit: This is, of course, assuming that you are using the universal electric mod.

Railcraft has steam boilers, and you can see seem going through various pipes (because steam was added to the liquid dictionary)

I'm pretty sure it's the fluid api, not liquid dictionary. The only times liquid is mentioned in a class name is for worldgen. Besides, Energized Glowstone (it is a gas, there's a reason it flows up) and Steam, and also Gregtech gases are in the fluid api.

I've seen spotlights and lets plays where liquid dictionary was mentioned in relation to steam and all that. Either way it's semantics. What ever the "proper" term for it, oxygen should be added to it. lol
