Black space and moon

Hello, I have a server through ApexHosting with some of my friends and am playing the Feed The Beast Crackpack modpack for Minecraft version 1.7.10 and I tried to go to the moon. At first it crashed the server but then I tried again and it went fine. But, once I got around halfway off the ground, according to the sidebar, everything went black and once I landed on the moon it remained black. I cant very slightly make out outlines of a tree I planted but thats about it. I attached a screenshot. The rest of the server (overworld and RFTools dimensions) work fine. I also built a space station but that is also just pitch black. Any advice would be great! Thank you

So I figured it out, my power armor helmet has an effect on it that made it pitch black, it was a problem with the night vision goggles.
