Disappearing Rocket on Mars

Finally made it to Mars - cool landing sequence, kudos for that - and did a little exploring around the landing site. When I returned to the spot, the balloons were gone. No chest, rocket or pad. So I am stuck on Mars for the time being. I brought enough to be self-sufficient, but I'll not be able to manufacture fuel to get home.

I'm on a server so can be rescued, eventually.

Any idea on what happened to my ride?

Any idea on what happened to my ride?

I have an idea: the landing balloons might have "sunken" into the ground, 2 or 3 blocks down. You can tell it by the shadow on the surface or simply digging down exact where they were supposed to be.

That was it. I died, and when I logged back in I could see the tip of the balloon sticking up, but only from one angle. Got it back and made it back to Earth. Thanks for the tip.
