You can now see this setup in action in my newest Air Lock tutorial video (starting at 5:55) :

I'm sure I'm not the first to build this type of system, but I like to have an inverted red light and a standard (not inverted) green light powered by the Oxygen Detector. When no oxygen is present the red light is on (default). When the room is sealed (and therefore redstone power is applied by the oxygen detector) it turns off the red light and turns on the green one indicating it is safe to remove your helmet so you don't have to look at a sealer's GUI just to check. Plus I personally think it's more entertaining to see the lights switching back and forth in "real time" instead of having to be immobile while looking at a GUI's boring text to tell you it's sealed, no offense Micdoodle8 :)

NOTE: This particular setup requires Red Power, Project Red, or something similar to provide the lights. It can still be done using redstone torches on a block, but it doesn't look nearly as neat and tidy.
