ISRU Metal from Asteroid Rock

The Problem:
Most good Sci-Fi bases and stations are made of metal, and you know what takes a long time to get in high quantities? Metal.

The Solution:
To add more purpose to asteroid bases, make a late game machine similar to the compressor and refinery, that converts an ungodly amount of asteroid rock into miscellaneous metal bars or ores. This set up would require large amounts of power and reward players who set up extensive infrastructure. It wouldn't make the asteroid miner obsolete because of its power requirements, and the large rock volume required. The Block itself could look like a tier two compressor, or maybe a larger custom model. I think the mod lacks many ISRU (in sity resource utilization) technologies, and would benefit from this.

We (people in the community and some of the developers) have kicked around the idea of getting resources from things like regolith, since irl the stuff is full of resources.

here's a snippet from this thread:

It would also be very cool if you did something with Regolith.
On the Moon it's high in oxygen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Composition_of_lunar_soil.svg
On Mars it's high in carbon dioxide hydrates that can get me water/oxygen

Thanks, I'd love some more complex machinery in this mod. I'd use other machinery mods but I'm not quite ready to jump into some of them.
