An idea regarding leaf decay...
What if you were to make it a function of the number of collectors being run from the same source...
An example: running two collectors off of 2 leaf blocks. This makes a 1:1 ratio of leaves to collectors, and the leaves disappear almost immediately.
The idea is: The larger the ratio of leaf blocks to collectors (with a minimum ratio to be sustainable, aka: no leaf decay, for example: 30:1 or something.), the more sustainable an oxygen farm is.
This would make it so that a fledgling moon base would require a lot more maintenance than a well-built and fairly established one, with the ultimate goal being full sustainability.
It also rewards players for building intelligently, and not over-harvesting their resources.
Again, just my two cents, I want to hear what others think!
