Moon is dark, cant find my way

hello i recently went to the moon in gc but when i got there it was all dark. its not dark like a dark cave but like all black. i don't know if this is normal or a glitch or something but can someone tell me how to fix this??

EDIT: also, check if your brightness is set to "Moody".

hmm, looks a bit too dark for just the lunar night. Make sure you are not using a Night Vision potion. If you are wearing goggles / helmet / power armor from another mod which has vision enhancement, switch it off.
