Hello! :)

Could anyone please give me an idea about which layers does Copper, Aluminum and Tin appear and are more common? Or they are equally common on any layer 0-64, making no difference in how close to bedrock you are?

Also, I've searched the forums http://forum.micdoodle8.com/index.php?threads/aluminum-ore.1202/#post-6507 and didn't understand quite well this thread. It is said that Aluminum has been replaced but I am being able to find it, though very rare (Minecraft 1.6.4 + Forge 9.11.1.953 + Galacticraft 2.0.6 + No Other Mods)

PS: It would be a nice idea for anyone with the right info adding that to the wiki:

Thanks!

To be clear up front I don't really know specifics just yet as to which layers they are generated, but I can tell you that copper can be found pretty much everywhere. I mean I ignore most of the copper I find now because you can find so much, even near the surface. Kind of like how iron and coal can be seen in the openings of caves and sides of cliffs. Again I don't know the specifics, but most of my digging is between levels 10-35 and I don't usually have much trouble finding aluminum and tin. In fact, I've seen a fair amount of tin and aluminum in crevasses so it's not all that deep. Aluminum most definitely has not been replaced. It still exists. It might have been replaced before since the post that mentioned that was relatively old, but it is back now if that was the case at one time.

By the way I try to add or update any information that is incorrect or non-existent as the issues come up so if you ever find anything else in the future please feel free to post it in the thread in my signature. Hopefully someone knows what layers those ores are in and I will update with that information. Otherwise I will have to do some digging (literally...well, virtually :)) to find out first hand.

Thanks so much SpaceUnicorn! :)

I really appreciate the help and the effort to update the wiki. So far I THINK I have found Aluminum on some layers above 40 but I'm not 100% sure. I will explore some caves as soon as I adapt myself to the new difficulties on hard mode - I haven't played Minecraft for a while and on my last version before upgrading to 1.6.4 Skeletons weren't so overpowered and zombies didn't call for reinforcements, also didn't have these damn little fast ones :D (at least creepers seem to have decreased their radius to cancel their explosion causing less environmental damage)

Tin I THINK you can find on levels up to 64 too but I still need to check it out.

Being Tin and Aluminum more rare than Copper, it's hard to tell. And also, even if they are found e.g. on layers above 50, they may or may not be more common on layers below, info that is also important.

Maybe the mod maker just "linked" their specifics to another ores, like e.g. Copper -> Coal, Tin -> Iron, Aluminum -> ?

Edit: Confirmed that Copper is found above layer 64:
