Browsing this site I found the sci fi book/movie page.

Thought I'd share a couple of books I've read (well listened to the audiobooks as I drive a lot). I'm sure you guys have read or heard about these, but for those that haven't!

The Martian - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Martian_(Weir_novel)

About a guy left behind on mars. He has to survive until a rescue mission can get to him. Set 'pretty much' today, not too distant future.

Leviathan Wakes - The Expanse Series - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leviathan_Wakes

Set in the future, humans have colonised the inner solar system. Mars is being terraformed, people living in the asteroid belt etc. It's got a gritty 'realistic' feel to this universe. For example, no lasers, light speed. This is about... well... just read it :p

Hope this thread is allowed here. And can anyone recommend other good sci fi books, preferably with a good audio book version?

Very happy to have suggestions here. It seems it's quite a procedure for new members to get edit access to the wiki at the moment even to write on the Talk page, so yes please do use this forum thread for this.
