Greetings to whomever reads this plea for help.

I started more than a year ago working to build a half-way decent server that would run Minecraft with heavy mods. (Obviously when I mean heavy I refer to FTB Monster pack plus other mods that I have chosen to stack on top of as well.) My endeavours seem to have helped some people on other sites to be able to run server with not-so-great hardware like we are limited to since we are all broke and poor.

Anyways, the main questions I have would relate mainly to bukkit and how Galacticraft might operate with it or if there is some plugin I am supposed to have to help bukkit play better with Galacticraft. Galacticraft seems to be the only mod to ever give us problems when something changes, even if we regen and start a new world.

TL;DR: Got Galacticraft 2.0.11.978 with mocdoddle8 core and Planets with all same versions together (cuz 2.0.12.1010 WILL NOT LOAD WHAT-SO-EVER with current config) and have gotten all inherent bugs fixed while generating with other mods and are able to go to moon/mars but we can not go to any spacestation, nor build one.

Also, at some point or another the bukkit server keeps crashing and bitching about asynchronous error (I have crash-reports but not going to attach here for the time.)

One last thing, while this seems like one or two bugs to sort out, I really need help with making sure I have things configured correctly and setup the right ways. I'm fairly sure since we have been able to play on and off over the years that I did a lot right but I know I did something wrong that’s why I would prefer someone to just talk with, if anyone has time or if possible.

Sorry for late reply, been dealing with server issues of my own.

I don't know how much I can help but the asyncronous issue sounds like autosaves conflicting. In, I think, bukkit.yml there is an autosave setting. If you have a backup plugin saving the map set bukkits autosave setting to 0. For the record, the built in autosave is silent, even in console.

MCPC and Galacticraft play fairly nice together, but not with many other mods. The only thing I can suggest making hosting an FTB server easier is to somehow set up a way to back up and open maps in MCEdit. Simple backup does backups for forge maps pretty well, I have it working with bukkits autosave.

Are you keeping your config files when updating? You only need to delete them if it asks you to do so specifically. If any of the item ID's in the config folder are changed the map, server and client usually won't work properly.

The fact you can even get to the moon and mars with that many mods is amazing, perhaps you will have to stick with just the planets until the incomparability is resolved.

I don't have but two plugins for bukkit (because I haven't figured out how to use those two first) Vault and Casino and I haven yet to get them to even work. Put it to you like this, I'm suich a newb when it comes to bukkit that our permissions.yml is still blank.

Im really good at servers and such but im too lazy to help sorry XD

Then why bother to reply? You must not be that lazy otherwise you wouldn't have responded if you were. No drama here to start I'm afraid.

Agreed, and I do keep config files as a means of comparing them to new config files from new updates from pack updates. I run a side-by-side comparison and that’s how I have been able to re-edit the config files for each new update and keep each mod happy and playing nicely together. Yeah Since the inclusion of Tropicraft I'm failrly happy with what all we are capable of doing on our server now.

Thanks for the assistance Blaze The Fox. This will help guide me in the right direction.

I'd be happy to help if i can. been a Bukkit, MCPC+ and vanilla server for 3+ yrs. worked with many mods. Currently run my own MCPC+ server with 130 mods.
:) Cheers

I havw not use Galacticraft before but willing to try. I stopped using bukkit, found MCPC+ works better. I have a TS3 server if you want to chat instead of type.
