[SMP] Lag/time out

Hey,
After connecting to the server we lag massivly (15-20 seconds) (no frame loss) and usualy get kicked of the server after a minute or so. Client gives the "Minecraft local server: disconnect.overflow/End of Stream" error. The server gives "Player lost connection: disconnect.overflow".

This ONLY happens with me and one other user of the server; other players can play normaly (and kill us without us noticing).
It also only appears to happen if the world is genrated with GC, a world pre-loaded in vannila (forge) Minecraft does not lag as much (normal SMP lag).

I can play about with both client and server settings if it helps.

Addition: Commands and chat appear on sever back-end shortly after submitted (no lag) but the client does not show thier chat or commands back for 20 seconds or so.

Actually, this has been reported to Mojang as a vanilla bug. It's not just the mod, surprisingly.

Strange; it does only happen with GC active on the server.
Still i'll wait till mojang patch it..

If possible, can I see the actual client and server logs?

As of my test just now, its not affecting me any more; I'll check with the other user to see if i can get client logs from him. But otherwise ill rember to save the logs if it happens again.
