Space Station Tips?

Hi! I'm new to the forum but have been using the mod for several years.
I was trying out the spin thrusters for the first time and I'm wondering what is the most effective way to use them is. I built a small spin station and i just keep getting thrown around in it. How should I build my station to get the most use out of the thrusters, or should I just ditch them? Any general station and base tips are also appreciated.

Hi ! I know this post is quite old, but first of all, you have to know that the maximum speed is reached at 4 spin thrusters working in your space station. The bigger your space station is, the longer it will take to reach the maximum speed (because your space station is faster if the spin thrusters are here for a while than if you just put them up). Secondly they have to be in the same direction (clockwise or counterclockwise, i'm not saying that you have to put the spins on the same wall)
