Unable to craft any mod items

I cannot craft any of the items included with the mod. I have all the ore and supplies but when I put the pieces in the crafting table, nothing works.

Never heard of that problem, I guess it could be a bad download or an installation error.

How do I get the log?

You should already have one in your minecraft directory in "logs" subfolder.
Try to search by filename provided by radfast after all.
