How about a situation where if you have a radar module on your rocket, it can detect asteroids, collision course or not. If an asteroid is on a collision course(VERY very small chance) then you have 3 options in a screen that appears during these rare events 1. Attempt to shoot it down(go on EVA and attempt to shoot the asteroid with a Bow, very unlikely it will do anything or using a handheld laser, which has a high but not certain success rate it depends on the asteroid's size, if not the asteroid will collide with your craft, the effects will be said at the end Of this comment) 2. Attempt to evade the rocket, 50% success rate, If unsuccessful the asteroid will collide and 2 pieces of your ship will fly away spinning, the collision will make no sound due to sound waves unable to move in deep space. If so there is a 20% chance you will survive the collision and you will be flung out into space, if you have a spare rocket.. Your good to go but if not, you will be flung out into space with half a heart, nearly escaping the destroyed ship, you will not last long and you will be unable to reach the next planet, unless you have an RCS that is like a jetpack but for space and it uses mono propellant but if you have one and enough fuel in it you might have a chance of reaching the nearest planet, chance depends on how close you are to the planet
