I have translated it in my language (Greek) but when I sent it to micdoodle8 he told me that I had to upload it as a UTF-8 or the letters would be messed up! I don't have any idea what that even means! Help?
Here is detailed explanation what UTF-8 is : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTF-8 Here is example of my translation: # Galacticraft Moon Language File = Polski # GENERAL ITEMS item.meteoricIronRaw.name=Surowe Meteorytowe Żelazo item.meteoricIronIngot.name=Sztabka Meteorytowego Żelaza # FOOD item.cheeseCurd.name=Pajdka Sera item.cheeseBlock.name=Blok Sera # TOOLS # ARMOR # BLOCKS tile.moonBlock.moonstone.name=Księżycowy Kamień tile.moonBlock.moondirt.name=Księżycowa Ziemia tile.moonBlock.moongrass.name=Księżycowa Gleba tile.moonBlock.tinmoon.name=Złoże Cyny tile.moonBlock.coppermoon.name=Złoże Miedzi tile.moonBlock.cheesestone.name=Złoże Sera tile.moonBlock.bricks.name=Księżycowe Cegły tile.cheeseBlock.name=Blok Sera # GUI gui.choosePlanet.desc.moon=Nadający się do Zamieszkania#Brak Tlenu#Grawitacja: 18% itemGroup.GalacticraftMoon=Galacticraft Księżyc
That is exactly what I did but when I checked the new version with my language it didn't work! P.S. Pirate speek also doesn't work. P.S.S. I just checked the jar file: Greek and Pirate speak are not in there. (Version I am using 0.1.32)
Nice post, stickied. I'll try to help you keep it up to date. Also, if your using Notepad++ as suggested, go to Encoding > Encode in UTF-8 before starting to make it UTF-8. If you've already made the file, go to Encoding > Convert to UTF-8 and it'll convert it to UTF-8.
Then I suggest getting Notepad++. Download it here: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.3.1.html
I know, I'm just saying. If you watch the build there, it would allow you to keep your post more up to date, though remember most of those are dev builds, so put "Next release" next to them or something.
Added. You can get the dev with it from http://ci.micdoodle8.com/job/Galacticraft/ It's in #23 and up.
Scratch what I said, I have to be using notepad(no + at all)the are no options for encoding. There isn't such a button Guess the Greek translation will have to wait.
Well of course there wont be that button because this is only Notepad ++ feature. Download it, you wont regret it.
I'm using UTF-8, but it still doesn't work. And is it possible to make a pull request in the repository instead of compressing it and uploading it?
Ah right, he handles the jenkins. Lapito, give me the Language files and ill send them to tyrant on Skype.
