    Introduction

Greetings! If you're here, then you're obviously a fan of Galacticraft. But, did you ever think of a Galacticraft roleplay? No? Well, that's okay, you can still join in the Official Galacticraft Roleplay!

If you don't know about roleplays, then check out the Wikipedia article for more information. Basically, you will cosplay as characters you apply for in a fictional setting. In other words, it's the Galacticraft mod, but stuffed into a thread. There are lots of roleplays spreaded across the internet.

Anyway, onto the main plot. On the Overworld, the only planet with organic life, there is a space administration agency called "International Space Travelling Agency", ISTA for short. It is founded by a person informally known as 'micdoodle8', and is located in a particularly large island in the middle of the Squiddy-Squiddy Ocean, hidden from the public.

Only a select few people are chosen to work in ISTA, by a message always sent by one of the ISTA agents disguised as a mailman. You are one of those lucky people, working at ISTA and exploring the outer layers, the final dimension, a place even the Legendary Steve himself is afraid of going to: Outer Space.

    Rules
    1. No Godmodding, Meta-gaming and PowerPlaying. This makes the roleplay boring for others.
    2. If you're micdoodle8 and are applying to this roleplay, you can play as the 'micdoodle8' mentioned in the Introduction section.
    3. Normal Minecraft mechanics apply here; hunger, health and oxygen are all basic factors in this roleplay, alongside stamina, thrist and body mass. More information below.
    4. You may not use other sci-fi weapons from other mods, with the sole exception being the Power Fist from Modular PowerSuits. It, like everything else here, has an energy meter of 1000Js. Each plasma blast costs 50Js, and you can recharge it with batteries. Each one gives 250Js.
    5. Put "sideway planet" somewhere in your application, either Bio or Other sections.
    6. Rockets are not used in here. Instead, spaceships are, to be able to carry multiple players at the same time.
    7. For the love of god, do not land in Gas Giant planets. The closest you can get to doing that is to land in orbital space stations located in their outer atmosphere, and going to their moons. If enough people vote to being able to enter Gas Giants, I will remove this rule.
    8. You're not a Space god. Your character can(and most likely will) experience space motion sickness unless he has alterady been in space before.
    9. Remember this is a Galacticraft roleplay thread. While you can spend time at the Overworld, don't focus too much solely on the Overworld unless it is part of a major plot, such as needing to find an alien that has crash-landed at the Overworld and prevent it from causing too much chaos.
    Dealing with Space troubles
    Revelant: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outer_space#Effect_on_human_bodies

Space is not the best place to survive, that is a thing you must remember if you're going to space. No, it's not only oxygen you have to deal with, nor hunger. Your character will likely go through acute health hazards, and will experience fatigue, nausea, vomiting, as well as damage to the immune system and changes to the white blood cell count.

Over longer durations, symptoms include an increase in the risk of cancer, plus damage to the eyes, nervous system, lungs and the gastrointestinal tract. On a round-trip Mars mission lasting three years, nearly the entire body would be traversed by high energy nuclei, each of which can cause ionization damage to cells.

Fortunately, most such particles are significantly attenuated by the shielding provided by the aluminum walls of a spacecraft, and can be further diminished by water containers and other barriers. (Source: Wikipedia) No, this does not means your character can only stay out for so long before having to go back in, it means that he will need to stay within the safety of spacecraft every once and then to restabilize your body. You CAN stay out in the Mars surface for as long as you want, but stay TOO long, and your character will begin to feel sick.

Other than space sickness, your character will suffer from muscle atrophy. This means that, if your character doesn't practices some sort of exercise during his stay in space(not continuously exercising to increase muscles, just a simple exercise), his/her muscle mass will continously decrease, and his/her skeleton will deteriorate over time, becomming full with pores. This is extremely dangerous in planets like Mars, as your character may trip on the rocky surface of the red planet and easily break his/her bones(taken from my Science book). These effects quickly disappear if your character goes back to the Overworld, or a similar planet.

There is also the gravity issue. Don't think that, as your character cooks water, he/she will magically stay on the floor. He/She will need to be fastened to something. Gravity can change your life. This is why bases planted on planets have Gravity-switching devices, so you don't have to perform your cooking while flying. Space stations do not have this ability, though.

Don't forget about oxygen! By default, your Oxygen tank will last you 45 posts until you'll run out of oxygen. You may not carry backup oxygen tanks.

But don't forget that this is Galacticraft and not a space roleplay thread, so, like always, there will be space monsters spawning.

    List of alien beings

Yes, that's right, this roleplay has aliens. Some will be hostile and kill you in sight, while others will try to get on your good side. They are all native to a planet or celestial body, so don't expect a Mars monster to appear at Venus.

If you want to roleplay as an alien, please say so, and I'll see if I will allow. But don't focus in only being aliens, because we will need humans, too!

Walker - Native to Moon, Mars and Oberon
Appearance: Like a Zombie, but looks gray instead of green.
Perks: Doesn't needs air to survive. Immune to weightlessness and cold.
Disadvantages: Weak, dies with sunlight, vulnerable to heat.

Bonesing - Native to Moon, Mars and Oberon
Appearance: Yellowish skeleton with decomposing bones full with pores and a Power Fist.
Perks: Power Fist grants more damage than a Bow, resistant to temperature(how logical), doesn't needs air to survive
Disadvantages: Prone to bones breaking, may occasionally produce a xylophone-like sound.

Crawler - Native to Mars and Oberon
Appearance: Reddish Spider, green eyes and arm stripes.
Perks: Ability to summon multiple sludgelings, can change it's weight to alter it's gravity, doesn't needs O2 to survive, regenerates health when in sludge
Disadvantages: Weak when in close quarters, needs an atmosphere to survive.

Stalker - Native to Mars, Venus and Oberon
Appearance: Reddish Creeper, green eyes and mouth
Perks: Has a double layer, so it can explode once and not die.
Disadvantages: Once it explodes a second time, it is dead.

    Slimeling - Native to Mars
Appearance: Like the Slimelings in the actual game. May be Blue, Yellow, Red or Green.
Behavior: THe first peaceful alien found so far. They at first reside inside eggs of their coloration. Then they must be incubated until they hatch, where they can detect who incubated and took care of them and will hang out with said person. They are capable of carrying items if you give them a small chest.

    Pyro - Native to Venus
Appearance: A living Fireball with eyes. How can fire live in outer space, anyway?
Perks: Similar to a Blaze, it can fire three small fireballs that will chase your character.
Disadvantages: Despite being firey, it is vulnerable to any cold attack. It may also randomly die out over time.

    Cloudling - Native to Venus
Appearance: Think of this, but beige.
Perks: It can divide into four smaller versions of it to pester you. It can only be damaged by explosions.
Disadvantages: Like Pyros, it is vulnerable to cold attacks. It also may randomly disappear.

    Sparky - Native to Venus
Appearance: A small, living blob of pure lava.
Behavior: The second peaceful alien spotted so far, it won't mind you and will flee if you attack it. Some say that Sparkies normally reside inside the Nether's Magma Cubes.

    Cryo - Native to Oberon
Appearance: A Pyro, but blue and frosty.
Perks: It fires five 'cryoballs' that now are able to move around for a limited time before vanishing. They may also temporarily freeze you.
    Disadvantages: Vulnerable to hot attacks.

    Sealite - Native to Oberon
Apperance: An animal resembling a seal, but colored light blue instead. They are hostile.
Perks: They swim fast within Ceres' water-ice layer and are able to break some of the ice.
Disadvantages: Easily outsmarted, and they can't quite go to land.

    Octopi - Native to Oberon
Appearance: A pink Squid with slightly bigger tentacles.
Behavior: The third peaceful alien. Just like Sealites, they live within Ceres' water-ice layer.

    Locations

Now that we are done with rules and difficulties, I'll state the locations.

Overworld: Your main homeland. The Overworld is the only place full with life, oxygen and related aspects. This is where you start.

ISTA Main Operational Base: The heart of the space operations, all of the spaceships are located in there. Your adventure starts here!

Squiddy-Squiddy Ocean: One of the largest oceans in the Overworld, this is what seperates the ISTA Base and the rest of the world. Those who want to go to mainland take a subway.

Diamonite Beach: A very large beach, true to it's name there are lots of diamonds under it, and there are some structures made of solid diamond blocks.

Sheepity Forest: A big forest filled with flowers and colorful trees, this is one of the prettiest forests you will have ever seen. This is often where new survivors begin their survival run.

New Redstone Town: A city located right next to Diamonite Beach and Sheepity Forest. It has lots of markets, cars, subways and even airports. There is one secret subway heavily guarded by hired Iron Golems that leads to the ISTA Base.

Creepari Desert: An arid desert, mostly nobody ever made it past this desert due to how big and unforgiving it is. Due to that, it is heavily inhabited by Zombies and Skeletons.

The Moon: The natural satellite that orbits the Overworld. It is so pretty, but at the same time so very scary due to how dark it is at New Moon.

ISTA Moon Operational Base: This is where you land once you get to the Moon. Fitted with depressuring rooms, work and recharging rooms, Cryogenic freezing rooms for you to sleep through the New Moon stage and a small terraformed bubble to remember how it is like back in the Overworld, you gotta say ISTA made a great job.

Moon Valley: A plain area with soft hills expanding around the base, there isn't much to see here, but Moon Buggies make the job easier.

The Great Moon Crater: A very big crater in the middle of nowhere, this is one extremely huge crater. On it's middle lies a hole leading to a cave.

Moon Underground Cave System: A very large maze-like cave. Lots of monsters spawn in here.

Mars: The cold, red planet, and the second coldest inner planet, losing only to Ceres, happens to also be the most poisonous planet. Also, it actually has an orange sky instead of a black sky.

ISTA Mars Operational Base: This is where you land once you get to Mars. Like the Moon operational base, it has depressuring, work, recharging and freezing rooms, but it is actually surrounded by a terraformed bubble.

Mars Cliffs: Surrounding the operational base is a large chain of mountains. They're all too tall and steep for you to climb them, though. There is a tunnel in one of the mountains that leaves to a cave system.

Mars Poison Caves: A darkish cave that both leads to the Mars Snow Plains and deeper underground, where there are poisonous vines and sludge. It is known for being heavily infested with Sludgelings and Crawlers, along other aliens.

Underground Martian Dungeon: Somewhere in the poison caves lies a tunnel made of green bricks. It leads into several rooms, usually with poisoned cobwebs from Crawlers. They are filled with monsters. The final room has eight Slimeling eggs, having two of each color, alongside a map regarding a lone planet, and some drawn arrows. Seems to be an escape plan sketch.

Mars Snow Plains: Like it's name says, it's a place full with snow.

Mars Pure Plains: Beyond the snow plains lies normal plains.

Venus: The hottest planet in the solar system(don't take it in the wrong way!), and possessing the thickest atmosphere. It has a yellowish-orange thick sky.

ISTA Venus Operational Base: Same as the two other stations, but it is encased in a dome.

Venus Canyon: The main biome surrounding the base, it is a trail cutting across the landscape, with cliffs around. It goes like this until it reaches plains.

Venus Plains: Spreads like this for a bit.

Red-Hot Volcano: The main volcano at this part of Venus, and it is active. It may erupt, so be careful. Also, there is a small cave on the Volcano's feet that leads into a Venus dungeon.

Underground Venusian Dungeon: It goes like the Mars Dungeon, but it rather seems like a ruined underground city instead of a dungeon. It is also made of yellowish bricks.

Uranus: No, it's not your anus, it's the actual sideways planet. One of the two 'ice giants' in the solar system, the other being Neptune.

ISTA Uranus Orbital Space Station: A station that orbits around Uranus' outer atmosphere, and absorbs it's hydrogen, helium and methane gases to use them for certain things like O2.

Oberon: You may not have heard of it, but Oberon is one of Uranus' 27 known moons. Being dark and pretty cold, Oberon may be considered an even colder version of Ceres.

ISTA Oberon Operational Base: Same as the other operational bases, but this one has a tunnel leading to the water-ice layer under the outer crust.

Oberon Hill Zones: A large area of hills surroudning the operational base. They are mostly made of ice(?).

The Great Hamlet Crater: The largest crater in Oberon. It has diameter of about 206 km, has a dark floor and is surrounded by a system of bright rays.

Chilly Water Cove: A large underwater zone with ice growing about, it is inhabited by several Sealites and Octopi swimming around. It has some coral reef, and surprisingly, fish from the Overworld seem to inhabit the area as well.

    Application Form

Now that everything is out of the way, let's apply! Don't forget to erase what is within parenthesis, they are just explaining what you should put in each field.

No, not as in your real age, silly, your character's age! :p

Also, if this was true, then I wouldn't be able to roleplay as well since I am 13.

    Accepted!

I'll make my application later on.

Awesome! Do you have the server built yet? How many people do you think will be on? Just out of curiosity.

This is not a server, this is a roleplay thread! Besides, if this was a roleplay server, the custom mobs, Venus, Uranus and Oberon wouldn't exist. :p

    Anyway,

I suppose you're accepted. By the way, are you all reading the rules? There is one rule you're forgetting about.

Anyway, we can start roleplaying now. Here's my application:

((Still doesn't includes the missing rule. [Either that, or I am missing it somehow.]

Anyway, I guess I'll make the first post))

"Calling in all astronauts, please direct yourselves to the main spaceship launch pad.", a voice in the intercom called out.

Archie immediatly headed towards the main launch pad, the place where all spaceships are docked in, awaiting to launch. He'd probably also meet up with his new colleagues now.

The minimum age allowed is 22. You also missed one rule. Update those and you'll be accepted.
